His company was one of the first MOPAR Direct Connection Performance Parts Distributors in the country. ![]() The next chapter in the company’s history was the start-up of another company and well-known brand in the Performance Parts Industry, ![]() In 1986, Ed formed his next new business, SLP (Street Legal Performance) which has since become Specialty Vehicle Engineering. ![]() In 2009 Ed’s company produced the first 5th Generation supercharged ![]() | ZL575 Camaros with 575 Supercharged Power and a 3 year/36,000 mile Powertrain ![]() For the 2012 and '13 Model Years the company added positive displacement aftermarket superchargers to it's GM Full-Size Truck and SUV Specialty Vehicle packages that included the Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Denali, and Escalade. The next milestone occurred when Ed's company designed and manufactured its own OEM-quality supercharger kit for the 2014 GM Full-Size Trucks and SUVs, equipped with the all-new 5.3L & 6.2L Direct Injection V-8 engine that was emission legal in all 50 States. Every 2014 and later Full-Size GM Truck and SUV Specialty Vehicle package the company offered included the company's new centrifugal supercharger kit, and is still offered today in all of the company's 2018 Camaro and GM Full-Size Truck and SUV specialty vehicle packages. ![]() In 2017 Ed expanded the company's supercharged specialty vehicle kits to include Jeep and Dodge vehicles. They included a 400HP supercharger kit for the 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler (2 and 4 door) with the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 engine, and a 575HP supercharger kit for the 2011-2018 Dodge Charger, Challenger and 575HP RAM Truck equipped with the 5.7L HEMI engine.
